A fire on Christmas day of 2021 left the community of Jefferson Ave. 7th Day Adventist Church devistated. The church had remained standing for nearly a year after the fire until a demolition was scheduled to take place in early December 2022. The original church is gone, but the community remains strong as they transition to a new space and work to build a permanent home.
